Library Pioneer Dead at 90
The man credited with leading the fight to bring public broadcasting to Rochester is dead at the age of 90. Harold Hacker led a group responsible for the ultimate creation of WXXI forty years ago. Hacker was a librarian by trade, who led the Monroe County public library system for 24 years.
