City Of Satellites Debut Single Released, Free Download
Hidden Shoal Recordings today announced the release of the single ‘Moon In The Sea’ by Australian post-rock dreampop duo City Of Satellites.
Taken from their forthcoming debut EP The Spook, ‘Moon In The Sea’ is the perfect introduction to City of Satellites’ gorgeous sound. Delayed guitars, bass and drums are swathed in an eerie mist of synths and chimes, above which Jarrod Manuel’s emotive vocals shine clear and true. Like all the best atmospheric music, the track breathes and throbs with life, ebbing and flowing beautifully throughout, leaving the listener hypnotised and hungry for more.
‘Moon in the Sea’ is available for free digital download from the HSR Store until the release of City Of Satellites’ debut EP The Spook on November 25th, 2008. The EP will round out what has been an amazing year of releases for the label, including new signings Fall Electric, and fantastic new albums from Hidden Shoal mainstays Sankt Otten and Slow Dancing Society.

Movie Review: The honey …. and the sting
It’s always a pleasure to see a standout performance, whether by a big star carrying a film or by an unknown hinting at big things to come. It’s even more satisfying to see a cast so uniformly fine that no single performance stands out.
SIDNEY BALDWIN Beekeeper August Boatwright, played by Queen Latifah, gives shelter to a young runaway who proclaims herself an orphan (Dakota Fanning) in “The Secret Life of Bees.”

Guess the lyrics! [2]
Easy peasy, it’s the first line from a song, guess the song and the artist :]
1; Keep you in the dark, you know they all pretend.
2; Danced all night, slept all day, careless with my heart again.
3; And if your heart stops beating, I’ll be here wondering “did you get what you deserve?”
4; Step one, you say we need to talk.
5; You’re all I ever wanted, you’re all I ever needed.
6; I see you, down on the front line. Such a sight for sore eyes, you’re a suicide makeover.
7; I can see there’s something in your eyes, you just took a fall from paradise.
8; In the car, I just can’t wait to pick you on out very first date.
9; Beautiful dawn, lights up the shore for me.
10; Stranded in a spooky town, stoplights are swaying and the phone lines are down.
11; We go where we like, we got overtime, we get paid to rattle our chains.\
12; You were a child, crawling on your needs toward it.
13; The first degree was a riot, we’re making sure our lesson’s learned.
14; You’re keeping in step in the line, got your chin held high and you feel just fine.
15; 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4! Nobody ever had a dream round here.
16; When you’re in your little room and you’re working on something good.
17; Seems a down right shame, seems an awful waste!
18; She says I’m boring her camera, it takes more to delight the cadaver.
19; How is your heart little darling? I didn’t mean to get so mad.
20; She had an earthwuake on her mind, I almost heard her cry out.
21; I roll the window down, and then begin to breathe in.
22; Some people think they’re always right, others are quiet and uptight.
23; I’ve exposed your lies, baby, the underneath is no big surprise.
24; The horseman you have brought deserve me, somehow they’ve made it through the floor.
25; Girl you got those hands that heal, help me get in touch with what I feel.
26; Let me tell you what I do when my day is over.
27; If you want me to wait, I will wait for you.
28; Is this where the interstate ends?
29; You were my sun, you were my earth, you didn’t know all the ways I loved you.
30; I understand why you’re looking for tears in my eyes.
